Apply first application of A&M
Green Lawn Plus (17-5-5) fertilizer at the rate of 10 pounds
per 1,000 square feet. This product is .5% zinc, .5%
iron and 17% sulfur. Zinc aids in plant growth
substance, enzyme systems and chlorophy production. Iron
helps give lawns the rich, dark green color.

Dethatch or scalp lawn. Apply
Diazinon or Dursban for grubs, fleas and ticks.

Start spraying weeds or apply weed
and feed fertilizers. Apply second application of EC
Grow with Surflan pre-emergent, if desired.

Apply MSMA crabgrass post-emergent
(weather needs to be very hot for this to work.) Apply
Diazinon or Dursban for grubs, fleas and ticks when
temperature is above 85.

Apply second application of A&M
Green Lawn Plus (17-5-5) fertilizer at 7 to 10 pounds per
1,000 square feet, depending on the availability of moisture.

Apply MSMA for crabgrass,
dallisgrass and sandburs, if needed. Apply Diazinon or
Dursban for fleas and ticks.

| August 1 |
Reapply A&M Green Lawn Plus
(17-5-5) fertilizer at 7 to 10 pounds per 1,000 square feet,
depending on the availability of moisture.

If conditions warrant, apply
Diazinon or Dursban for grubs, fleas and ticks.

| Sept |
Apply Balan or Surflan pre-emergent
to control wild blue grass, henbit, chickweed and dandelions.

| Oct-Dec |
Winterize the lawn with a high
phosphate fertilizer, such as 9-24-24 plus iron.

| Dec |
Apply Round-Up, if you have a weed
problem.
|
|
Have soil test run every three
years to check soil ph for acidity. |
